An old practice, still used today.

There are records of intestinal washes in ancient Egypt, Greek medicine, and Ayurveda, where the basti integrates the panchakarma.

In the Método Corpo Limpo, it is presented as a direct way to observe the intestinal terrain again, with clarity, care, and respect for the body.

What we call biofilm

Microorganisms can form adhesive matrices called biofilms. The image helps visualize the concept; the appearance of what the body eliminates does not identify these structures.

When to pause and seek guidance.

Pregnancy or recent recovery from abdominal or intestinal surgery;
severe pain, persistent bleeding, or acute intestinal condition;
kidney disease, dehydration, intestinal obstruction or inflammation;
use in children or frequent repetition without professional guidance;
question about the equipment, the liquid used, or the body's own response.

Common sense also means knowing when to pause. Severe cramps, irritation, bleeding, or any unusual response require attention. Do not add CDS, medications, coffee, soap, phosphate, or any other substance to the liquid based solely on internet content.

In the presence of these signs, pause and seek professional evaluation. Products with sodium phosphate require special attention to the dose indicated on the label, according to the FDA safety alert.

Coca-Cola in an enema?

A medical decision in an extreme case — not a step in the tutorials.

In April 2026, doctors published the case of an 82-year-old patient hospitalized with a 12.2 cm fecaloma that had not responded to conventional measures. Under clinical monitoring and CT control, the team used enemas with classic Coca-Cola and reported reduction of the mass, return of intestinal function, and discharge without surgery.

The authors report fewer than a dozen cases, without controlled studies or standardized protocol. It is a hospital report, not guidance for home use.
